"Eternal Happiness" song SYX

This 100% produced Woovebox track demonstrates;

  • Powerful real-time synthesis of complex timbres using only noise and single-cycle waveforms; with the exception of the built-in piano hammer sample and vocal samples, no samples were used for this track
  • Professional mastering chain keeping competing elements, frequencies clear and punchy throughout the song, despite an over-dense mix with extreme reverb tails and extreme harmonic saturation (super saw, noise bursts)
  • Real-time processing of vocal samples from raw material
  • High-pass filter pre-send FX (for example vocal samples) to avoid mud build-up
  • 3-band parametric (e.g. not just one macro parameter) Xfer-style OTT master compression
  • Mid/side master processing (stereo widening, bass monofying)
  • Emphasis on temporal mastering (rather than simple EQ-ing), pushing elements to the background as needed, rather than permanently destroying an element's frequency response permanently
  • ...but also (new) static per-track tone shaping/EQ-ing for rare cases
  • Per-track transient shaping/compression (for example, the initial "snap"/punch on the super saw stabs)
  • Wavetable synthesis of quintessential Trance choir
  • Per-track octave-configurable shimmer applied to the piano

The point of this test song, is to stress-test the new mastering chain by building a deliberately over-dense mix. Reverb is intentionally cranked to the max on most tracks to create extremely dense and long tails. This is then combined with extreme super saw stabs, washes and noise bursts to saturate the spectrum with harmonics. On top of a shimmer effect is added to the piano.

Despite the enormous wall of sound, the mastering chain keeps all elements from drowning in the mud/mush, and keeps the audio clear and intelligible. Helping you finish "radio-ready" tracks in-the-box is the goal here.
